This trail is right around the corner from The Clifton and a favorite among our guests. Park at Monticello for free. You’ll see the ramp/board walk as you are entering the parking lot. The trail is mostly shaded with gorgeous trees that umbrella the trail but you’ll get some views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Charlottesville. 4 miles total.

4.3 mile paved “out and back” trail along the Rivanna River. It’s suitable for all skill levels, wide enough to be stroller-friendly (there’s a playground near the trail), dog friendly, and a favorite for runners!
