Garden Cottages
Located in the lower garden of the property and just steps from the Manor House, are the Clifton's five Garden rooms and cottages. These beautiful and rural Charlottesville accommodations were created from two of the estates original dependencies and overlook the 100 acre property's lush lawn and gardens. Varying in size, each feature exposed ceiling beams, unique modern features with the feel of a private cottage.
Carriage House
Our largest suite has a loft bedroom with a King bed and peaked ceiling. The bathroom features double sinks and double shower heads. French windows on two sides offer views of the gardens, woods and croquet lawn.
Honeymoon Cottage
This romantic room with an entry porch directly off the west lawn features a King bed, high-beamed ceilings and wood floors. French doors lead to a bathroom with a pedestal sink and soaking tub.
Meriwether Lewis
This charming corner room in our Lower Garden features a King bed and a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub and a unique stone shower. This room is 391 sq ft.
Law Office
An enchanting space with exposed brick and wooden beams, this room features a King bed and a private outdoor patio space facing our garden and trail leading to the Rivanna River. This room is 397 sq ft.
Garden Room
A tiny room located by the gardens, the cozy Garden Room features a Queen bed, elegant French windows and an exquisite shower. This room is 261 sq ft.
